Spectra Style: Closed System
One of the features loved by Spectra users lies in its closed system, which uses a backflow protector to avoid milk from backflowing into the tubes and damage the pump. The backflow protector (also called barrier) plays important role in the kit. It is installed between the flange and the tubing so as to separate the milk from the suction air.
Closed System Connector
Although the backflow protector is not difficult to install and remove, it still needs a bit of technique to handle it accurately. Damage to the backflow protector often occurs when it is installed onto or removed from the flange. To reduce the unpleasant incident, Maymom has engineered a built-in backflow protector. Half of the backflow protector is fused into the base connector, which completely rule out the chance of breaking the backflow protector.

The flange is wide-mouth design. Both one-piece flange and detachable flange are available to meet different moms’ needs.
For one-piece flange system, there are 11 sizes available, including 15, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 30, 32 mm. As for detachable flange system, there are even more sizes available, including 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36 mm.
