Although Maymom already offers a wide range of flange sizes to meet most mothers’ pumping needs, some moms still ask for smaller, more compact, and portable solutions. In response, Maymom developed the flange insert.
A flange insert is designed to reduce the tunnel’s inner diameter (ID) from the regular 24 mm or 25 mm size down to smaller, more comfortable sizes.
Most breast pump brands only provide 2–3 flange sizes, which may not suit every mom. For mothers with smaller nipple diameters (around 11–19 mm), using oversized flanges (21–25 mm) is often the main cause of discomfort, pain, and low milk output.
To their relief, Maymom flange inserts make it possible to downsize the tunnel opening of standard flanges, helping moms pump more comfortably and effectively.
